Bursaries & Scholarships

‘Maintain a bursary and scholarship system to ensure available financial support remains consistent with building a compassionate and equitable school community.’

Beehive Strategic Plan – Community Citizenship Pillar – Goal 4

The aim of the bursary scheme in our School is to assist parents:

  • With a demonstrated commitment to a Montessori education for their children, and
  • Who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties which threaten their children’s continued attendance in the School.

The Bursary Committee is composed of the Principal, the Treasurer and the Chair of the Board or his or her nominee.

The Bursary Committee considers applications and recommends to the Board an amount and a specific period for which a bursary may be granted.

The aim of the scholarship program in our School is to assist parents:

  • Who have a strong desire to provide a high-fidelity Montessori education to their child, but who are financially unable to do so.

Where bursaries at Beehive are granted as a way to assist enrolled families who find themselves in circumstances of short-term financial hardship, scholarships are offered to families who cannot enrol without financial assistance, or would need to discontinue their enrolment on the basis of their longer-term financial position.
