Dr Maria Montessori was born on 31 August 1870, and every year we at Beehive celebrate her birthday and recognise the wonderful contribution she has made to education in general and to all the Montessori schools around the world.

This year, we will celebrate on Wednesday August 31st by dressing up in Italian costume or the colours of the Italian flag (red, green and white); and bringing in any souvenirs, music, ornaments etc from Italy to decorate the class for the day!
