We’re delighted by your interest in Beehive Montessori School. We look forward to introducing you to our school and getting to know you during the application process.
01
Visit Beehive
A personal school tour provides a great opportunity to experience our unique learning environment, discuss our educational program and ask any questions you may have about the Beehive Montessori School.
Where possible, you may also observe in a classroom and experience first-hand the productive hum of a Montessori environment.
Once a place becomes available, your family will be invited to attend an interview with a member of our leadership team.
For children older than 3 years, we offer a two-week Montessori experience followed by a second interview to ensure a good cultural fit.
04
Offer and confirmation of place
To accept a place, subject to the interview process, a non-refundable and non-transferrable fee is payable and confirms the place for your child to commence at Beehive.
Before commencing school, your child’s teacher will contact you to meet your family in the classroom. This is an opportunity for your child to meet the teacher and see their new environment one-to-one, before entering the class in action.
06
Readiness visit
Your child attends a readiness visit, to help them feel comfortable in their new classroom. They are generally the only child to start for the first time on that day. This may be a slightly shorter morning, depending on the needs of the child and their readiness to start school.
07
Commencement
Children commence, generally the day after the readiness visit. For new three-year-old children, hours are 8.30am–1.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am–12.30pm on Fridays.
