Arte Ricca Exhibition
Arte Ricca is a rich and unique gathering of art and people. Emerging and established contemporary artists, the local community and the Beehive Montessori School, all come together to showcase the visual arts and celebrate community connection.
Since its inception in 2014, the Arte Ricca Exhibition has continued to grow and flourish. The first exhibition took place under the guidance of Elly Joel, Hannah Fitzhardinge, Evelyn Kotai and a host of other parent volunteers. This event was a great success and hosted artworks by both emerging and established artists in our local community, and has occurred every few years ever since.
Our most recent iteration of Arte Ricca took place in 2024 and was made possible by the current talented committee of artists and parents – Anya Brock, Ross Potter, Beste Ogan, Desi Canning, Vanessa Margetts and Ella Waterworth.
Artist in Residence
The Arte Ricca Exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to not only witness the brilliance of local artists and acquire artworks, but to support the Beehive Montessori School in funding their Artist in Residence program.
The last Beehive Artist in Residence program, (made possible from the Arte Ricca Exhibition in 2021), saw internationally renowned artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers work with the Beehive students. The project resulted in a large-scale mural on the side of one of the school’s buildings which is visible to the public. This project was a huge success within and outside the school and continues to receive incredibly positive feedback from the community.
Pop Up Market
To celebrate the final day of the Arte Ricca Exhibition, a Pop Up Market is held at Beehive. The outdoor market showcases handmade works from West Australian artisans and designers and typically includes a range of bespoke jewellery, ceramics, sustainable clothing, handmade natural soaps and leather accessories.
Arte Ricca 2026
The next iteration of Arte Ricca is due to take place in 2026.
