Beehive Stage 1

Stage 1 of the School’s redevelopment was envisioned to be the centre feature & vibrant heart of the school. The vision called for a central square surrounded by the school hall, the library and administration building, being the central buildings of activity such as would be found in a town. All other parts of the school i.e. class rooms, play areas etc have been designed to have line of sight into the central square to draw the students in and allow interchange between areas, thus maintaining and growing the communal aspects that exist in the school today. The square is sited towards the southern end of the development.

The development cost of stage 1 was $2,146,658 with funding for the project emanating from the Federal Governments BER program.

Stage 1 was completed in November 2010
