La Casa del Nord This term we welcomed Jasmine, David, and Rohan to our classroom. Rohan returned to us from Karratha and has now joined Middle Primary, we wish him all the very best. Our theme this term was “the Planets” We learnt the names of the planets and a little bit of information about each planet. The children were very excited to learn about this topic and they were very keen to share their own knowledge with the other children. We learnt about the “Space Shuttle” and “The Milky Way” We had wonderful blow - up planets that we hung in the classroom. We learnt new songs and poems, which were about Space. Our virtues this term was “Truthfulness” and “Patience” which the children enjoyed discussing. We once again concentrated on caring for each other and the materials in the classroom. Thank you to everyone who assisted and supported us during the term and especially to Saira who did cooking with the children, showing the children how to prepare, cook and serve the food to the other children. Christine for assisting with the classroom laundry and Lucinda for sweeping the outside area each week. This is always greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful holiday.
