La Casa del Cuore

Term 2 has concluded after many weeks of hard work. All of the children have put a lot of effort into their activities and we are all pleased with results.

The older children, who now move into Upper Primary, have worked exceedingly well on their Aboriginal Studies, artwork and written projects which are a credit to them. Their maths and language work was rather good too! We will miss them now that they have moved on to greater adventures but we know that they are well and truly ready for the challenges ahead.

The rest of the children who are continuing in Middle Primary are content with the efforts that they have shown during this term. They have completed work on the Timeline of Life, Vegetation Areas of the Earth, Pendulums and Pulleys and Invertebrate Animals. They have also put a great effort into learning their maths facts and spelling patterns. Although this may have seemed burdensome in the beginning they are now seeing the benefits that quick recall of facts can make.

The term, although very busy, has been great fun. The children have not only grown in the academic areas but have developed in the social and spiritual spheres which is wonderful to see. Although we will miss the guidance of the older children the new leaders of the classroom have well and truly served their apprenticeships and are ready to step into their new roles. The three year plan is not only a very good anchor point for the class, but it is also instrumental in developing the whole child. On that note, we wish you all a very happy holiday and will see you again in three weeks.
