Beehive new COVID restrictions post lockdown 26 April

It is great news that lockdown will end tonight and we are back to school tomorrow.

In keeping with the Premier’s announcement regarding stepping down restrictions, this will however mean a few changes to our everyday procedures at Beehive this week.

Specifically;

1. All adults (including our young adult AP students) entering school grounds will need to wear a mask, continue to maintain adequate physical distancing measures and use hand sanitiser prior to entering any building.
2. Events scheduled for this week, such as Hannah’s Welcome Morning tea (Tue), Open Day (Wed) and our maths parent education afternoon (Thu) will all be postponed, pending further announcements later in the week around easing of restrictions. Corroboree will be held as an in- house event without parents in attendance for this week.
3. Parent meetings and observations will be cancelled for this week.  If you need to meet with your teacher urgently, please reschedule as a teams meeting.
4. If your child shows any flu like systems- runny nose, cough, sore throat etc, please be extra diligent by keeping them home from school.

Like you all, no doubt, I feel continuously thankful that we live in this beautiful and isolated part of the world in these changeable times.

Thank you all for your ongoing commitment in keeping us all safe as part of the Beehive community.

Please remember you are welcome to drop your children at the front gate rather than enter school grounds, as Debbie or I will be on the gate between 8.30 and 8.45 to ensure this is possible.

See you tomorrow!
